Form Your Group
Gather 3–6 students who are studying the same subject or course and can attend at the same recurring time.
Submit the Group Request
Complete the tutoring intake with the subject, grade/course, number of students, and preferred schedule.
Confirm Tutor + Schedule
Burch Tutoring will review tutor availability and group fit. Once confirmed, each family completes the enrollment and payment process.
Important: Submitting an intake does not reserve a tutoring time. A small group begins only after Burch Tutoring confirms tutor availability, course fit, group size, and a mutually workable schedule.

Does Burch Tutoring find students to complete my group?
Not at this time. Small Group Tutoring is designed for families who already have 3–6 students who want to study the same subject or course and can meet at the same recurring time.
What if I only have two students?
Two students are considered a Semi-Private Tutoring group rather than Small Group Tutoring. Ask about semi-private availability when you complete the intake.
Do all students need to attend the same school?
Not necessarily. What matters most is that the students’ course content, academic level, goals, and pacing are sufficiently aligned for the tutor to teach the group effectively.
How is the small-group price determined?
Each student’s Small Group Tutoring rate is approximately two-thirds of the corresponding 1:1 tutoring rate for that service. For example, a $100 individual session would be approximately $67 per student in a qualifying small group.
Is small group tutoring the same as a classroom?
No. Groups are intentionally limited to 3–6 students so there is room for questions, guided practice, discussion, and individualized feedback within the shared lesson.
Is a group guaranteed once we submit the form?
No. Burch Tutoring confirms the subject/course alignment, group size, tutor availability, and schedule before enrollment. The group is not reserved until those details are confirmed.
